SOMETHING ABOUT TIME !

Do you know, time is the most valuable commodity which people can neither buy nor sell~~?~~! It can be considered the most perishable one because it cannot be stored either. Different parts of the globe experience different time zones. However, one thing that is common amongst everybody is that time waits for none. Hence, waiting for the right moment is wasting your precious time.

So how do you make use of the most precious resource efficiently?

Time management is an art that one can master by simply following the tips here.

1. Figure out the moment of the day

We have to understand that a person is very productive, energetic, and enthusiastic during a particular period of the day. Figure out which part of the day it is for you. Now, schedule all the difficult tasks for this time and keep the easy tasks for the rest of the day. This will keep you motivated as you are done with the hard and tiring task

2. Clear the clutter

A tidy environment helps to save a lot of time, keeps you motivated and also helps to improve your self-esteem. Imagine the time spent searching a file or folder from a messed up and cluttered cabin versus picking one from the organized cabin.

Do you know you can also declutter the work by delegating it? For instance: You need to prepare an organizational chart, however, you are occupied with other meetings. Now, delegate it to an enthusiastic team member or a trainee. They would learn to create an organizational chart, making optimal time use. Great! your job is done and the trainee learned something new. it's a win-win for both.

3. Have a list

To remember the need to do on a particular day, always create a list on paper or an electronic device. Always have 3 different lists viz:- the to-do list, completed activity list, new task list.

A piece of advice is that writing the list on a paper and sticking it in front of you keeps you focused and having a completed list keeps you motivated, which helps you do the job better. One cannot avoid unexpected tasks popping up during the day. Therefore have a new task list and try to complete it by the EOD as it comes. Learn to be a little flexible. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

Bonus!

Time can be differentiated into two types namely fast time and slow time.

Fast time: Fast time is the time spent on doing your favourite task or the time spent on an activity that you enjoy doing!

Slow time: Time spent on doing the activity which we are forced to do. One feels demotivated, frustrated, and low on energy during the slow time.
